Received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986 and her law degree from Marquette University in 1989. She was Student Articles Editor for the Marquette Law Review, and recipient of the Zilber Law and American Academy of Matrimonial Law scholarships. Attorney O’Halloran has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, was selected for membership in the Best Lawyers in America and Outstanding Lawyers of America, and has been selected as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer each year since 2005. She has also been named to the Top 25 Women Wisconsin Super Lawyers each year since 2009.Attorney O’Halloran has practiced in the area of family law since 1989, including divorce, custody, placement, support, property division, paternity, and the preparation of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. In addition, Attorney O’Halloran has obtained extensive training in the field of dispute resolution, and has obtainted her certification in mediation from Marquette University’s graduate program in dispute resolution. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree from Marquette University in dispute resolution. As a result of the extensive training, Attorney O’Halloran has expanded her mediation and arbitration services. In addition, she offers unbundled legal services which include evaluating a client’s analysis of a case, advising clients about legal rights and responsibilities, advising clients about court procedures and other dispute resolution options, reviewing documents, drafting documents, evaluating settlement options, and helping clients prepare for negotiations (including mediation and arbitration.) Attorney O’Halloran practices traditional family law, collaborative family law and cooperative family law. She practices in Milwaukee, Dodge, Ozaukee, Racine, Waukesha, and Washington counties. Attorney O’Halloran is past Chair of the Divorce Cooperation Institute, Inc., past President of the Society of Family Lawyers and serves on the Milwaukee County Family Law Bench/Bar Committee. Also, she is Chair of the District 2 Committee for the Office of Lawyer Regulation and serves on the Collaborative and Cooperative Law Work Group for the Association of Conflict Resolution. She is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at legal seminars throughout the country. Attorney O’Halloran is a member of the Milwaukee and American Bar Associations, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Society of Family Lawyers, a founding member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin, Inc. and the Divorce Cooperation Institute, Inc. |
